The Locator 6000 utilizes a GPRS modem running on GSM-based networks to communicate location and telemetry records to the Quadrant backend. In addition to the functionality offered with the Locator 6000 offers a number of options including 6 I/O telemetry ports, J1708 capability, internal battery support and voice.
The Locator 6000 supports connections to laptops or handhelds to provide GPS information and an Internet connection.
MDTs (Mobile Data Terminal)
The Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) enables remote office capability to field workers. Our Locator 6000 has a number of applications for the MDT, such as Electronic Driver Logs, Messaging between Driver Logs, Messaging between driver and dispatch personnel, Electronic Form transmittal, and Driver Login.
Driver Logs: Locator 6000's HOS Solution is fully compliant with all the rules, regulations, and parts assocated with US and Canadian Hours of Service regulations.

Messaging: The messaging center provides two-way text and status message capability through a user-friendly messaging interface. Messaging enables communications between your driver and dispatch, providing

Electronic Forms: Many standard forms are available today including pre-trip inspection, post-trip inspection, loading, delivery and equipment check forms. The Quadrant Solution is also equipped with an interface for dispatchers to provide their own custom forms.
Driver Login: The Quadrant System in conjunction with the MDT enables Drivers to login to their vehicle system using username and password, Key Fob or by using a Smart Card System (Magnetic Card Reader). In addition, the Locator 6000 can be configured to disable the vehicle starter unless the driver has provided the correct means of authentication.
The Locator 6000 also offers Bar Code Scanners for direct input of data to a Mobile Data Terminal Electronic Form. Connect the scanner, scan the bar code, and the information automatically populates the appropriate field. A range of bar code scanner models are available.

Laptops, PDAs and connectivity
Connecting a laptop or PDA to the Locator 6000 via the standard RS232 serial port allows users to access the Internet and Corporate applications.
Panic Buttons, Bar Code Scanners and voice
Panic buttons are connected to the Vehicle Locators through a Telematics connection and will automatically alert personnel through email, SMS alerts, or an XML interface to a back-office dispatch application - ensuring additional safety for your field workers. Remote panic buttons allow drivers to send alerts from outside of the vehicle using a key fob. When the panic button is activated, the vehicle horn may also be activated, providing additional local visibility.

WT1700 Bluetooth Adaptor:
The WT1700 is a Bluetooth adaptor, which can be used with the Locator 6000 Series to communicate with Bluetooth Devices. The WT1700 uses the Dial-Up Networking Profile (DUNP) which provides a standard to access the Internet and other dial-up services over Bluetooth technology.

The GPS Locator L2000E running on our web-based GlobalTrack fleet management software is our #1 selling flagship product. This unit is typically used for companies with a fleet of 5 or more trucks/vehicles who wish to gain complete control of the costs of operating their fleet. The L2000E is easily installed and is hard-wired to any vehicle by connecting a power, ground and ignition wire (3-wire install). Due to its small size (approx. a deck of cards), it can be easily hidden inside the vehicle. Once installed, you will begin receiving real-time GPS location records.
The L2000E will provide ignition on/off records, idle time, stop time, and send location records every 5 minutes while the vehicle is moving. Login to your GlobalTrack software and begin viewing your fleet location on our elegant digital mapping and satellite imaging, or view and download a variety of standard reports. Additional features include speed alerts, geo-fence alerts, routing, and monitoring vehicle maintenance. Most importantly, the L2000 series is offered to unlimited number of users at a low, flat monthly fee (no overages).
The Locator 2000E in the vehicle communicates each second with satellites to determine speed and location of vehicle. The information is transmitted by digital cellular to the server to view online. See how it works. All records are available online for 45 days and on the server for 3 months.

The GPS Locator L2000A offers the same tracking features as the L2000E but also offers an internal back-up battery. The backup battery can be useful in the case of employee tampering or theft. If the main power line becomes disconnected, the L2000A will immediately notify you via cell phone and/or email, and the unit will continue to operate for up to 12 hours. Additionally, a Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) can also be used with the L2000A for two-way text messaging, and paperless forms between the vehicle and the home office.
Both units will report in real time and have 5 minute updates of location while it is driving. The user will be notified once the vehicle is turned off,on and idling. The units also have store and forward which will store all event data while out of cellular coverage and once the unit is within cellular coverage then all event data will then be forwarded and no data will be lost.

The L2000 Nav+ offers the same tracking capabilities as the other 2 units in the series but in addition it also offers in-vehicle navigation and mobile internet connectivity. The L2000 Nav+ is mainly compatible with a laptop in the vehicle. Using mapping software on the laptop with the L2000NAV+ it can be used for in-vehicle navigation. Internet connectivity is also available but does require more data usage on the cellular. This will cause the monthly subscription on the cellular to go up. An unlimited data plan is recommend.
The L2000 Nav+ has the capabilities to have a turn by turn feature that will send a location every time the unit makes a turn. This will allow for an extremely accurate Breadcrumb trail that depicts each street the vehicle traveled down. This is very useful for route verification. This feature will cause an increase to the monthly fee.

The L2000 Lite Starter Package is our “Value Package” for companies who wish to get started tracking their vehicles with a basic GPS tracking system. The Lite Package allows users to view their vehicle’s location on a Google mapping interface, and provide historical travel time and stop time information.

The Validator 2000 series is an event-triggered, data-logging Vehicle Location System utilizing a two-way communication module to automatically download data to the base station. With NO MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION FEES this system is ideally suited to collect detailed data that every fleet manager needs. Each GPS mobile unit can be programmed to record an "event" through a variety of options/triggers.

The Tracker 1000-MMT is an "All-in-One" battery operated GPS device. Housed in a compact, rugged enclosure (IP67 Enclosure: 4" x 11" x 1" ). The system communicates via satellite, so it is able to keep tabs on anything that has a view of the sky. The battery life is up to 8 years (2 request per day). Easy to install, and very reliable, the T1000-MMT is a 'low-usage" device, ideal for providing location updates 1-6 times per day. Recommended use is for tracking and monitoring location of assets and inventory.
The T1000-MMT's 2.4 GHz Radio Frequency (RF) capabilities allow you to extract data on the device or a group of devices using a wireless laptop or a wireless PDA handheld device. This technology also allows data to be trans-mitted to RF Gateways in the yard or at security checkpoints.

The Validator 5000 series utilizes satellite communications to provide the complete real-time tracking solution for those who need to go beyond cellular coverage. Integrating a high performance GPS receiver and a satellite communication module into a compact enclosure, the Validator 5000 GPS tracking systems transmit positions and telematic data back to the control center. The web-based control center allows the user to communicate with and locate the vehicle, in addition to reporting and mapping the vehicle's activities.
Each GPS mobile unit can be programmed to log a record through any combination of the following options/triggers:
